Nice is renowned for its summer festivities, but winter also has its share of surprises, including the Carnival in February. This month, it's all about festivities and masquerade costume. While tickets on the official box office range from 7 to 28 euros, depending on location, there's a trick that lets you take part for free.
Bring your full costume and head for the specific entrances reserved for pedestrian zones: you'll be given a ticket, subject to availability in each zone.* Once you've got your ticket, all that's left to do is dive into the crowd and enjoy the colorful spectacle of Nice Carnival!

The Nice 2024 Carnival Program
- Opening Parade: On Saturday, February 17 at 2:30 p.m., gather at Place Masséna to witness the Carnival kick-off.
- Carnival Parade of Lights : Immerse yourself in the enchantment of the Carnaval Parade of Lights on February 17, 20, 24 and 27, and on March 2 at 8:30 p.m.
- Carnival Parade: Experience the wonder of the Carnival Parade on Sunday, February 25 at 2:30 p.m
- Flower Parades: Don't miss the flowery moments of the flower parades on February 21, 24 and 28, as well as on March 2 at 2.30pm on Place Masséna.
- Lou Queernaval: Join Lou Queernaval on Place Masséna at 8pm on February 23. This event is free, but reservations are required.
- Closing Ceremony: From March 2 to 3, close the year in style on the Promenade des Anglais with the incineration of the King of the Nice Carnival. These festivities are free for all participants.
