Good news for guests at our 3* hotel! People have been able to travel from Cadam and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to Avenue Jean Médecin by tram on the new section of line 2since June 2019. It now takes no more than 5 minutes to reach Magnan from the Jean Médecin stop.
The Nice Côte d’Azur Council project provides easy access to Nice city centre and fast transport to the main tourist attractions. Given its prime location just a 2 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais, the Hôtel Locarno Nice is now no more than a 5 minute tram ride from Place Masséna and Vieux-Nice.
The tram network will give Nice a quieter city centre and better quality of life with fewer cars and buses in the centre, less pollution and less noise.
Prices: Single trip 1.50€, 10 trips 10€, 1-day pass 5€ and 7-day pass 15 €.

- To Cadam/Airport: Daily 6am-9.20pm and Friday and Saturday 6am-1.05am.
- To Jean Médecin: Daily 5.30am-8.45pm and Friday and Saturday 5.30am-12.31am

Get onto Rue Paul Valéry, turn right onto Rue de France then left at Avenue des Baumettes. The Hôtel Locarno Nice is on your right.
Nice Station – Hôtel Locarno Nice: Turn left onto Avenue Thiers, then take line 1 at the Gare Thiers stop to Hôpital Pasteur and get off at the Jean Médecin stop. Take line 2 to the Airport/Cadam and get off at the Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen stop. Get onto Rue Paul Valéry, turn right onto Rue de France then left at Avenue des Baumettes. The Hôtel Locarno Nice is on your right.
The tram also takes you to the boutiques and shopping centres, ideal for a day shopping during your holiday in Nice!
Hôtel Locarno Nice – City centre: Turn right onto Rue de France when you leave the hotel then left onto Rue Paul Valéry and left again on Promenade des Anglais. Take line 2 to Jean Médecin at the Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen stop and get off at the Jean Médecin stop.

You'll soon be able to get the tram to Nice Port from your 3* hotel! Work on line 2 to connect Avenue Jean Médecin to Nice Port is coming to an end with the construction of two underground stations: Durandy and Garibaldi/Le Château. Work will end in late 2019 as well as line 3 connecting Nice Airport to the Saint-Isidore area.
The new line will take you to see matches and concerts at the Allianz Riviera stadium as well as the Palais Nikaïa when you take the tram from the Hôtel Locarno Nice.
